     (On a side note.  It looks like the "In Look" for Spring this year, is the two colored ear tags - Can't wait to tell the cattle in Miles City.)

     52905 They built a dam on Post Creek to create McDonald Lake.  
   
   
 
      You can see the water intake and earth dam in this picture.   Let's walk down to the water for a better view.

     If you are looking for a "wilderness experience," get a tribal permit and winter camp
     on the north shore of the lake in early Spring when the ice is just breaking up.   
     As the ice buckles it generates thundering noises that echo off the valley walls.  
     The sounds vary from fascinating to frightening.
