For something out of the ordinary
For something out of the ordinary, go to the fair grounds early in the day to see the concessionaires and booths setup. Who knows you just might discover ranch kids practicing their roping skills (See photo below). While at the fair, take a walk over to the Floral Hall to see the spectacular wall hangings made entirely out of seeds and legumes! We know it sounds strange but wait until you see the results of months of meticulous work required to create the colorful artwork.

For over thirty years there has been a friendly competition between the Montana towns surrounding Sidney. Great little towns like Savage, Crane, Lambert and Fairview. Each year they try to create the most imaginative and colorful wall hanging. The “catch” is, the display has to be made entirely out of seeds and legumes! Above is the Savage, Montana entry.
